03-24-2009 - Pete SalaZar '80 - Rock Band Beginnings Lunatic Fringe was a melodic hard rock band with shifting moods and psychedelic under currents that rocked Hollywood, California during the 90s. Lunatic Fringe broke up in 1995? amongst one of Hollywood's most vicious infighting, street fights, mental and physical health issues and simply too much of everything. Their music reflected the mood, atmosphere and life style that ultimately destroyed one of the most promising bands to grace the stages of Los Angeles.
After many years of recovery, reflection, and reconciliation, the writing team of Fornadley & SalaZar (guitarist and Vocalist of LF) have re-united as friends and currently are jamming with Jimmy Bain (Dio, Rainbow) in a classic rock jam band.

Lunatic Fringe (EP/CD) is the self-titled 1994 release from this California group, which features Curtis Fornadley on lead and rhythm guitar. The EP-length CD offers five hard rock tracks with the gritty vocals of Peter Salazar. Fornadley's guitar takes center stage on the disc, opening "Dyin' On The Vine" with some wild wah-wah riffs, then ripping into a searing, tube-driven section at solo time. He colors "Take Back The World" with an otherworldly break, then closes the track with a free improvisation which recalls his current instrumental solo work on the CD "Curtis". The band is rounded out by drummer Perry Cunningham and bassist Swampy. http://www.guitar9.com/guitarmusic9/lunaticfringe.html
