  • 5 Year Reunion
  • Like the impromptu parties of our youth, friends and classmates turned out in great numbers for this one. No one had to ask, 'What's the party for?' Just about everyone showed up... and had a great time at the West End Country Club in Torrance, CA!

  • 20 Year Reunion
  • The 10 year reunion was the last time that The Class of 1981 reunited... and there were no photos of it available to save for posterity. Cindy came along and worked hard to resurrect The Class of 1981 from nothingness. Thank You Cindy for making the 20th Reunion Happen!

  • 25 Year Reunion - Photos Taken by Our Alumni
  • What an amazing weekend the reunion turned out to be. It is hard to describe to anyone what we experienced. To all of you who missed this reunion for whatever reason, do yourselves a favor... don't miss the next one.

  • 25 Year Reunion: 26th Street - Manhattan Beach
  • A severe thunderstorm threatened to cancel our Sunday at The Beach Event. It had traveled up along the coast from Baja California and made landfall in Manhattan Beach. Torrential rain, heavy winds, lightning and thunder filled the skies. It lasted over an hour. After the storm moved on, some of our alumni remained to enjoy the day. It was a blast at the 26th Street Lifeguard Tower!

  • 25 Year Reunion: Official Gallery Of The Classes of 1980 & 1981
  • There is so much history that we share... where we grew up, many 'firsts' that we had as kids and young adults. No matter what we are doing, no matter where we live, and what our lives are like today... we share our pasts. At Our 25th Reunion, we proved that old friendships do matter!

  • 30 Year Reunion: Alumni Photos
  • Our 30 Year Reunion - Leuzinger Classes of 1978, 1979, 1980-1985, 1986, 1987 as seen through the camera lenses of Stacey Doe, Burrell Rutledge, Jose Camacho, Teresa Givens Alacantara, Leanne Mcahren, Kimberly Byrd Glass and Johnny Santiago!

Saturday August 6th 2011: It was a great night at The Crowne Plaza Hotel -  Redondo Beach CA!

  • 30 Year Reunion: Official Photo Gallery
  • Welcome Leuzinger's Classes of 1978, 1979, 1980-1985, 1986, 1987

Tonight is a celebration!!! It has been many years since we compared schedules to see how many classes we shared at the beginning of each school year‚Ķ and we concluded each year by pledging our friendships as we signed each others yearbooks. Life was simple ‚Äď and reassuringly predictable!

Within our core group of friend...

  • 1962 Pylon: Where were you in '62?
  • George Lucas' 'American Graffit' was a portrait of teenage life in the early 1960s. It was a study of cruising and the culture of Rock 'n Roll. That era evoked mankind's relationship with cars and hot rods, cruising down the boulevard, the teenage obsession with radios, ¬†and the dilemma of young men meeting the girls of their dreams. The Complete 1962 Pylon Yearbook gives, you the viewer, a pe...

  • 1978 Pylon - Freshman Year: Class of 1981
  • We were just finding our way around the campus. We stood in awe of Senior Square which was always occupied by the 'big boys'. We were figuring out which teachers were the ones to have, how to balance our school work with play, and who we were as individuals amongst our peers.

  • 1979 Pylon - Sophomore Year: Class of 1981
  • We got into the swing of things as we learned from our mistakes in our Freshman Year. What do you miss the most? Is it the absence of friends rushing past one another in the hallways or practicing hard and long for the upcoming games? Is it 'the who you went out with or where and what you did' that you treasured the most? Whatever it might have been, our lives were drastically changing...

  • 1980 Pylon - Junior Year: Class of 1981
  • Those late night homework sessions. Friday and Saturday nights out on the town. Our high school friendships created lasting memories. We learned a few life lessons along the way. We lived life in hopes of pleasing our friends, teachers, and coaches. We wanted to make our parents proud. We ultimately did it for our own self-esteem and self-worth. We learned to push ourselves beyond our own expec...

    Saturday August 31st, 2013

I Knew That It Would Be:  Tonite's reunion was a big success! The 1975 - 1979 Reunion Committee worked very hard to make it so. Though I was named and recognized as being a committee member, I really was not... I simply provided 'Hero Support'. ~ Terry Poublon '81

You might decide on something different, but this is a great place to start!

  • El Toritos Restaurant - Redondo Beach Pier March 05, 2005
  • An intimate gathering.  The Redondo Beach Shoreline and The Palos Verdes Peninsula were sure to bring back memories of our youth.  The Pier and The Breakwater areas were favorite hangouts in the late 70's and early '80s.  The sunset brings magical colors on the harbor where the boats settle in for the evening. Watching the waves crash on the white sandy beach becomes hypnotic. &n...

  • Leuzinger High School Memorabilia Day - 2003
  • Sandra Suarez was unable to organize the event, but The Memorabilia Day Alumni Committee did their best to fill her shoes. Dr Russ Thompson was onhand to give us a tour of the campus. • Old Towne Mall - Torrance
  • This mall was part of 4 malls during the 70's in the area (South Bay Galleria to the north, and both the Del Amo Mall and Del Amo Fashion Center to the south). Some time during the early 80's, the Del Amo Mall and Del Amo Fashion Center merged, forming at the time the largest mall in America. This would lead to the downfall of Old Towne Mall.

Old Towne Mall had rides, atmosphere, and unique...

  • Oregon Alumni BBQ 2007

  • Yearbook
  • - The 1981 Pylon. With graduation, a chapter of our lives ended. High school was a lifetime ago. We have moved on from 'those glory days'. We have forgotten that high school shaped our lives. It helped mold us into the men and women that we are today. On The Class of 1981 Website, we will rekindle those high school memories and important friendships. The Olympian Spirit will live on forever!!!

  • Yukon Intermediate - 1977
  • Yukon Intermediate covered a period of time that straddled Williams Elementary and Leuzinger High School, serving as a bridge between the two.
