Starring James Garner, Gena Rowlands, Rachel McAdams, Ryan Gosling
If you want to see a movie that is strong on story, great on characters, and beautiful on cinematography, this film is for you. It is a movie about choosing your love in life: what we were meant for, and what we settle for.
James Garner plays a man trying to jog the memory of a woman in a nursing home who is suffering from dementia. She doesn't remember her husband, her family, and her past. Everything is unfamiliar to her.
The notebook that he reads to her is of their life together as two young North Carolina teenagers from different worlds. The spend an incredible summer together, and then are separated by her parents and WWII.
I won't ruin the rest for you. I saw the sneak preview in the theatre with my daughter and the neighbors.
Once in a great while, a movie like this comes along, and takes you away to another world. I highly recommend seeing it. For you ladies, bring out that box of kleenex. I guarantee that you will eventually need it!
